In a surprising revelation, Memphis rapper Finesse2Tymes has recently discovered that he had been raising a child who isn’t biologically his.
The rapper shared the unexpected news on Instagram on Tuesday (October 1), posting a paternity test confirming that he could not be the father of Sincere Heavenly Hampton, the child he had believed was his daughter.
Finesse2Tymes opened up about his feelings, stating, “I can love you so much to the point where I won’t cut you off. I ask God, if this person ain’t right, remove them from my life. And in mysterious ways, things happen. I never question it. Just know this—I ain’t take no L, I learned a lesson.”
Reflecting on his past, the rapper admitted, “I used to treat women real bad. They say what goes around comes around. You reap what you sow. What goes up must come down. Crazy thing is, I’m prepared. I respect the universe, and I respect the game. Everybody that knows me knows how much I love my kids and how much this affected me. But I wish you the best—just gonna kill you with success, Art of War, mind, body, and soul.”
Finesse2Tymes channeled his emotions into music, quickly writing a song titled “Down Bad” in just 20 minutes, previewing it for his fans online.
The revelation reportedly came after the rapper’s mother arranged for a DNA test, discovering that she wasn’t Sincere’s grandmother. Finesse had welcomed the child into the world last November with the mother, Nia Love. At the time, he expressed his joy, calling himself “the happiest man on Earth” and sharing a touching photo of the newborn.
Finesse’s mother, equally shocked and hurt by the news, voiced her frustration on Facebook. “THE RESULTS ARE IN, and I’m MAD AS MF. Why! Just why! You allowed our family to bond with this baby, knowing it was a possibility somebody else could be her daddy,” she wrote. “I’m sorry to be the bearer of bad news, but you ARE NOT THE FATHER, and I AM NOT THE GRANDMA. Nia, you hurt us with this one. From this day, everybody’s getting DNA tested.”
She also posted the DNA test results, which showed only a 0.14% chance of a genetic match.
Nia Love posted on social media saying, “I’m not perfect & never claimed to be I apologized to him off the strength of me genuinely not knowing fr but honestly this kind of a blessing for me. Yall don’t know what I went through with that man fr I used to cry & pray to God to help me leave him alone & couldn’t. It’s a blessing in disguise cause I tried so hard to leave the situation & never really could until now 💔”
This situation has undoubtedly been a tough one for Finesse2Tymes, but the rapper seems determined to move forward, focused on growth and success in both his personal and professional life.
