A California woman is set to be sentenced after prosecutors say she orchestrated disturbing alcohol-fueled gatherings involving minors at her mansion.
Shannon O’Connor, 51, was previously found guilty on dozens of felony counts tied to allegations involving children between the ages of 13 and 15.
According to prosecutors, O’Connor facilitated abusive situations involving minors and supplied alcohol to underage teens during parties hosted at her home. Investigators alleged she encouraged and monitored inappropriate conduct involving the children.
During the emotional sentencing hearing, victims and family members described the long-term trauma they say the abuse caused. One victim said the experience changed her life forever, while another parent testified that her daughter was once “sweet, silly, and full of joy” before the alleged incidents occurred.
O’Connor was convicted on 48 felony counts along with additional misdemeanor charges, including child endangerment and furnishing alcohol to minors. She reportedly faces more than 30 years in prison.
