Brooklyn rapper Casanova, whose real name is Caswell Senior, is asking for spiritual support from fans and followers as he awaits sentencing in his drug and racketeering case. Casanova, who has been behind bars since December 2020, took to Instagram on Tuesday, May 9, to request prayers ahead of his sentencing, which is scheduled for June 27.
Casanova’s sentencing is related to his alleged involvement in the RICO case against the Untouchable Gorilla Stone Nation gang. He is facing up to 60 years in prison for his alleged gang-related crimes, which include trafficking at least 100 kilograms of marijuana and being a signal caller for the gang. He also admitted to his involvement in a 2018 New York City robbery that left a woman badly injured and a July 2020 Florida shooting following a gambling dispute.
Although Casanova pleaded guilty to two counts in May 2022, he maintains his innocence. According to a report from Rolling Stone, the Roc Nation artist accepted the prosecutors’ offer after someone essentially snitched on him.
Despite his legal troubles, fans can show their support by purchasing Free Casanova merchandise, which includes hoodies and T-shirts available on the rapper’s website for $45 to $65, respectively.
As Casanova continues to face the legal consequences of his alleged crimes, he hopes that his fans and followers will keep him in their thoughts and prayers during this trying time.
