Jodeci, the R&B group, has kicked off their highly anticipated Summer Block Party Tour, embarking on a 21-date journey across North America with support from SWV and Dru Hill.
Presented by Live Nation Urban, the tour commenced with a thrilling homecoming performance in North Carolina on July 28. Exciting stops are planned in major cities such as Brooklyn, Philadelphia, Chicago, Detroit, Atlanta, Houston, Los Angeles, and more.
While Jodeci takes the lead as the headlining act, both Dru Hill and SWV will join the stage on selected dates, including their own homecoming showcases in Baltimore and New York, respectively. This tour comes at a time when all three groups are experiencing a resurgence in live performances, commemorating significant milestones in their careers.
In 2021, Jodeci marked the 30th anniversary of their debut album “Forever My Lady” by reuniting and securing a management deal with P Music Group. Last year, the quartet garnered critical acclaim while touring with fellow veteran acts Charlie Wilson and New Edition on The Culture Tour, which hit 30 cities across North America.
Dru Hill also rejoined forces, celebrating their 25th anniversary in the music industry. Founding members Sisqó, Nokio, and Jazz are all set to grace the stage alongside former members Scola and Tao, as well as Smoke and Black of Playa.
SWV celebrated the 30th anniversary of their multi-platinum debut album “It’s About Time” in 2022 and recently appeared on the Bravo reality series “The Queens of R&B” alongside Xscape.
