Atlanta rapper YFN Lucci is officially a free man after spending almost four years behind bars in connection to a racketeering case. The “Everyday We Lit” artist was released on January 31, marking a significant moment in his legal battle.
The first moments of Lucci’s freedom were captured in a heartfelt video shared on his Instagram Story, where he was greeted by his children, family, and close friends. The touching reunion comes after the rapper’s long legal struggle, which began in January 2021 when he was first incarcerated.
Originally sentenced in January 2024 after pleading guilty to violating Georgia’s Street Gang and Terrorism Prevention Act, Lucci faced a 10-year prison sentence, followed by a decade of probation. However, due to a plea deal, he secured an early release, significantly cutting down his time behind bars.
“I’ve learned a lot during my time away. I’m incredibly grateful for my family and friends… who stood by me throughout. Now, it’s my turn to give back.
