Snoop Dogg welcomes Ed Sheran to Death Row Records and gifts him a massive gold chain for signing to the label.
Although Ed Sheeran’s pop-folk, acoustic love songs may not be associated with the iconic Death Row Records, the 32-year-old was spotted enjoying himself backstage at Snoop’s Rod Laver Arena concert in Melbourne, Australia on March 4th.
As the 51-year-old rapper is now the owner of Death Row Records after taking on the label last year, he chose to embrace Sheeran as part of the family. A video posted on Instagram shows Snoop gifting the singer a hefty gold chain with the Death Row emblem.
As reported by the Daily Mail, the emblem on the jewelry piece is estimated to be worth around $6,500. The video, which was shared by @killadillacanam, an individual in charge of booking Snoop’s DJ gigs, and originally posted by the rapper, shows him saying “Welcome to Death Row” as he puts the chain on Sheeran.
“We want to see all your videos, all your dressing rooms, all your drinks, smoking all your weed – come to Death Row.” Sheeran jokingly responds with, “Well, I’m in your dressing room, drinking all your drinks,” as the two share a toast.
