This weekend, rapper Sexyy Red found herself in handcuffs at Newark Liberty International Airport in New Jersey after being involved in a significant altercation, newly revealed video footage shows.
Early Saturday morning, Sexyy Red, along with several companions, got into a heated brawl with another group at the airport. TMZ has now obtained surveillance footage capturing the chaotic scene.
In the video, several men can be seen tumbling into view, engaging in a fierce fistfight. Sexyy Red, identifiable by her red bonnet, soon enters the frame. Although she didn’t join the brawl directly, she picked up a nearby stand and brandished it, seemingly ready to use it as a weapon.
Fortunately, before she could make contact, someone intervened and pulled her away.
Amidst the chaos, airport security and personnel can be seen attempting to restore order, as the groups move in and out of the terminal door. Eventually, police arrived and arrested several individuals involved, including Sexyy Red.
The Port Authority has confirmed that Sexyy Red was arrested for disorderly conduct, while others faced assault charges. The victims involved in the fight were treated for minor injuries at a local hospital.
Sexyy Red has since addressed the incident on social media, mentioning she was released and even offered to replace the phone of one of the individuals she clashed with. Her response suggests she is taking the incident in stride.
