Tom Brady ended his NFL career on Wednesday, stating he was retiring “for good.” However, a return to the NFL could be on the horizon. New England Patriots Owner, Robert Kraft, revealed his intentions to offer Brady a one-day contract, allowing the NFL legend to retire as a Patriot.
Brady spent two decades playing for the New England Patriots before moving on to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers for the past three seasons. During an interview on CNN Thursday, Kraft was asked about the possibility of offering Brady a one-day contract for a proper goodbye with the team.
“I’d do it tomorrow,” Kraft said.
“Not only do I want it, our fans are clamoring for it. And to us, he is, always has been, and always will be, a Patriot. And we will be bringing him back. … I don’t like to make a commitment for him, but we will do everything in our power to bring him back, have him sign off as a Patriot, and find ways to honor him for many years to come.”
