Hip-hop fans were rocked by a bold claim recently made by State Property’s Oschino, who asserted that he ghostwrote Beanie Sigel’s 2001 diss track targeting Jadakiss, titled “Kiss The Game Goodbye.”
The explosive track, which borrowed its beat from Swizz Beatz’s production on “Put Your Hands Up,” was loaded with sharp bars aimed at The LOX’s Jadakiss. One of the most memorable lines was: “Peep speculate, game over/Dig this – I’m about to son Kiss like a soda,” delivered with the fierce intensity Beanie Sigel was known for during the height of the beef.
This revelation came to light during a recent episode of the Apt 5H podcast, where comedian Derek Gaines revisited the historic diss track while discussing the feud between Beanie Sigel and Jadakiss. Reflecting on the biting lyrics, Gaines remarked: “Beanie had the line! That had us going crazy in high school!”
However, it was Oschino who stole the spotlight when a clip of the discussion was shared on social media. Sliding into the comments, the State Property member dropped the bombshell that he was the true writer behind the scathing bars.
The revelation has sparked a wave of conversations among fans, reigniting debates over ghostwriting in hip-hop and adding new layers to the legendary feud. While it’s not uncommon for artists to collaborate or ghostwrite within the rap game, the claim raises questions about the authorship of some of hip-hop’s most memorable diss tracks.
Fans have had mixed reactions to Oschino’s claim. Some expressed disbelief, citing Beanie Sigel’s reputation for penning hard-hitting rhymes. Others, however, acknowledged that ghostwriting has always played a significant role in shaping hip-hop narratives.
Neither Beanie Sigel nor Jadakiss has commented publicly on Oschino’s assertion, but the claim adds a new chapter to one of hip-hop’s most talked-about beefs.
Even over two decades later, “Kiss The Game Goodbye” is remembered as one of Beanie Sigel’s most impactful diss tracks, representing the intensity of early 2000s rap feuds. Whether or not Oschino’s claims change how fans view the track remains to be seen.
