Kanye West is making waves again, this time with a surprise release featuring his daughter North West and embattled music mogul Diddy.
The controversial rapper and fashion designer dropped the track, Lonely Roads Still Go to Sunshine, on X/Twitter on Saturday, March 15, igniting a social media frenzy.
In the post, Ye… who has been teasing new music… introduced the song with a simple caption:
“LONELY ROADS STILL GO TO SUNSHINE new song by PUFF DADDY feat. His son KING COMBS my daughter NORTH WEST and new Yeezy artist from Chicago Jasmine Williams.”
While the track plays for 4 minutes and 44 seconds, the accompanying video remains a blank screen, keeping the focus entirely on the music.
Diddy, currently facing serious legal battles… including charges related to sex trafficking and racketeering… makes a phone call appearance on the song. In the snippet, he expresses gratitude toward Ye, saying:
“I wanna just thank you so much for just taking care of my kids, man. Ain’t nobody reach out to them, ain’t nobody call them.”
West responds emotionally, adding:
“Absolutely, I love you so much, man. You raised me. Even when I ain’t know you, know what I’m saying?”
Meanwhile, 11-year-old North West makes a standout cameo on the track, delivering a confident rap line:
“When you see me shining, then you see the light.”
