Destiny’s Child, the iconic group that underwent a transformative line-up change at the turn of the century, has sent shockwaves across the internet by sharing their first-ever photograph featuring all five original members.
Originally formed as a four-piece in 1990, Destiny’s Child comprised Beyoncé, Kelly Rowland, LeToya Luckett, and LaTavia Roberson. In 2000, Luckett and Roberson were replaced by Michelle Williams and Farrah Franklin, but Franklin left the group just five months after joining. The remaining members went on to form the group’s most successful and well-known line-up.
On January 3, in a monumental reunion, Luckett shared a photograph capturing all members together for the first time. Notably, Franklin, who contributed to only one song during her brief stint with the group, was absent from the image.
In her caption, the 42-year-old expressed that this reunion was her “favorite moment of 2023” and wished for everyone to experience similar beautiful moments in 2024.
She specifically highlighted “The Love,” “The Joy,” “The Prayer,” and “The Healing” as central themes to the heartwarming reunion, which took place during Beyoncé’s Renaissance World Tour show in Houston, Texas, her hometown.
