Birdman has provided another update on B.G.’s forthcoming release from prison, stating that the former Hot Boys member will soon be back home.
On Instagram, the Cash Money Records founder posted a photo of B.G., who is currently serving a 14-year sentence in a California prison, donning a khaki-colored uniform and a lavish watch.
Despite being incarcerated, the rapper remains fashionable and stylish. Originally set for early April 2024, B.G.’s release date may now be sooner than expected, as per Birdman’s caption on the photo: “Be home in a minute heart of tha streets @new_bghollyhood #CCRG #Cashmoneymillionaire @cashmoneyofficial.”
Birdman has previously suggested that B.G.’s release from prison is nearing, despite the fact that he has yet to be released. Last December, a video was shared on B.G.’s Instagram account, chronicling Birdman’s trip to the Federal Correctional Institution in Herlong, California, where the rapper has been serving his sentence since 2012.
In September of last year, U.S. District Judge Susie Morgan denied a motion filed by a fellow federal inmate seeking to have B.G.’s 14-year sentence commuted.
