In a recent legal development, Angela Simmons has been ordered to pay a substantial sum of $48,704.40 after a rent-related lawsuit. The case revolves around allegations that she vacated her penthouse without settling her rent obligations.
Back in October 2019, Angela Simmons leased a flat in the Pembroke at Fort Lee Coop, located in Randolph, New Jersey. However, issues began to arise when she reportedly started accumulating significant late fees for not paying her rent in full, particularly as of late 2020. Over time, these outstanding charges grew to over $50,000.
Legal documents, which have been accessed by TMZ Hip Hop, suggest that Angela Simmons did not respond to the landlord’s complaint regarding the rent arrears. Consequently, the court subsequently issued a default judgment against her, totaling $48,000. This sum encompasses not only the overdue rent but also late fees, expenses related to necessary repairs, and other related costs.
Interestingly, it’s worth noting that following this judgment, Angela Simmons noticeably intensified her promotional efforts for her cake company.
