Rapper and G-Unit leader, 50 Cent, recently weighed in on a heated altercation between R&B artists Jacquees and Trey Songz. The incident, which unfolded on social media, drew attention to the volatile nature of the music industry.
In a since-deleted Instagram post, Jacquees accused Trey Songz of assaulting him in Dubai, alleging that Songz had forcefully pulled out one of his dreads during the altercation.
This revelation prompted 50 Cent to express his amusement and skepticism about R&B artists, emphasizing their unpredictability.
In response to the incident, 50 Cent shared a screenshot of Jacquees’ deleted post, adding his commentary: “These R&B [ninja emoji]’s are crazy, I told y’all. No R&B LOL. I’M SORRY CAN’T PUT THEM TOGETHER. THEY THINK EVERYBODY THINK THEY SOFT So they pop off. LMAO.”
Jacquees further detailed the incident, asserting that Trey Songz had been banned from Atlanta and the entire South. In a fiery Instagram post, Jacquees vented, “F**K Trey Songz. Can’t come back to Atlanta.” He accused Songz of envy and even claimed that Songz had assaulted him unprovoked in a club.
The conflict escalated when Jacquees took to Instagram Live, accusing Trey Songz of being a rapist. This surprising accusation marked a significant shift in Jacquees’ stance, as he had previously defended Songz against similar allegations. In an emotional video, Jacquees vehemently expressed his disdain, stating, “F**K you b*tch a** n***a. You a rapist, b*tch.”
As of February 2, Trey Songz has not publicly responded to Jacquees’ allegations. The incident serves as a stark reminder of the tensions within the music industry, with 50 Cent providing a cautionary perspective on the unpredictability of R&B artists.
