The celebrated actress took to her Instagram Stories to post the intriguing image. However, as the gossip mill churned, Zendaya decided to address the speculation directly in a lighthearted video.
In the video, Zendaya chuckled as she told her followers, “I can’t post anything, you guys.” Laughter could also be heard in the background as she continued, “I posted it for my hat, not for the ring on my right finger, you guys. Seriously, do you think that’s how I would drop the news? Like, what?”
According to reports from People magazine, she later re-uploaded the original image to her Instagram Stories to let her fans take another look, along with a note that read, “Let me just put the full body back so y’all can relax.”
Zendaya and her boyfriend, Tom Holland, are known for keeping their relationship out of the public eye, making this engagement speculation particularly surprising.
