Will Smith has officially confirmed what fans have been eagerly anticipating: a new album is on the horizon, marking his first musical project in nearly two decades.
In a revealing interview shared by the Instagram account Black Film Allies, Smith opens up about his latest endeavor, which will be his first since 2005’s Lost and Found.
“Over the past year and a half, I’ve been in the studio,” Smith explains. “I have a project that is the most personal and powerful music project I’ve ever done. The idea of the music is, ‘Dance in your darkest moments.’”
Adding to the excitement, Smith took to Instagram on Tuesday (July 23) to preview his new collaboration with Russ titled “Work Of Art.” In the post, Smith triumphantly declares, “I just finished my album.”
