One diver was able to film this amazing fish that hides beneath the sand where it waits completely still for fish to swim by for a sneak surprise.
Jules Casey, a freediver and scuba artist, was able to get this beautiful Stargazer fish hiding waiting for its dinner. From the looks of the Stargazer, you would think it was just some old fish bones, but that indeed isn’t the case.
The Stargazers are a family, Uranoscopidae, of perciform fish that have eyes on top of their heads. The family includes about 51 species in eight genera. They’re all marine and found worldwide in shallow and deep saltwater, according to Wikipedia.
