Kraft Heinz has an urgent recall on some of its popular powdered drink mixes. This urgent recall is due to some Kool-Aid items containing glass or metal particles.
Kraft-Heinz said that ingesting a Kool-Aid drink with these particles doesn’t pose a severe threat. But, it does warrant the recall out of an abundance of caution.
“Due to the small particle size, third-party medical experts believe accidentally ingesting the affected product is unlikely to result in injury or illness. However, consumers who purchased these items should not consume it and can either return it to the store where it was purchased or discard it,” the spokesperson wrote in an email statement.
The Kool-Aid that you’ll want to look for is the powdered drink mix of the Tropical Punch flavor.
During an overview of the process, they noticed the glass and metal particles.
“We are committed to upholding the highest safety and quality standards in all our products,” Kraft-Heinz said in a statement.
The company urges people who have this product in their homes to please throw them out. Customers can also bring them back to Costco for a full refund.
If you have questions about the recall, please call 1-855-713-9237. They will be able to answer any questions you may have.
