The Kardashians have no problem voicing their opinion about the direction that Instagram has and is currently moving towards. The Kardashians have always been known for their modeling talent, which they’ve used to their advantage.
Most people, or maybe just some people, usually don’t mind posting a picture of themselves. But, when posting a video, they may tend to get a bit nervous. That’s mainly because, in a video, you have to be more on point, especially if you care about your image. It can be even worse if you’re famous because you know that the world is waiting to criticize you in every way possible.
Adam Mosseri, head of Instagram, shared a Twitter video talking about the company’s changes. In the video, Mosseri said he knows there has been a lot of change to Instagram. He continued to say that they will still be a photo-sharing app, but they will become more video-focused.
Kylie Jenner and Kim Kardashian criticized Instagram for “trying to be TikTok” because the used-to-be photo-sharing app is now moving in the direction of a video-sharing app. So, let’s say… if you rely on photoshop to ensure that the photographer can easily take this and that out, then you probably don’t like the new direction Instagram is going.
Videos take a lot more mental effort because editing the negatives you don’t like before posting can be harder, especially if it’s live. Also, you get to hear your voice and see yourself, which could make you start doubting yourself. But, “a photo is a moment frozen without sound or words, just that peaceful, or bold moment,” -E.L.C.
What do you think about the direction Instagram is going? Do you hate it? Or do you love it?
