On January 26, 2021, the world was shocked to learn of the murder of 34-year-old Martell Derouen, who had ties to the famous Beyoncé through their shared grandmother. Derouen, known by his stage name Kantone, was making strides in his burgeoning rap career before his life was abruptly cut short.
