Snoop Dogg has never been shy about acknowledging greatness, even when it’s directed against him. The rap icon recently showed major respect to Eazy-E’s legendary diss track, “Real Muthaphuckkin G’s,” despite being one of its targets.
According to Snoop, the 1993 track is a stone-cold classic that deserves its flowers… diss and all.
During the milestone 500th episode of The Bootleg Kev Podcast, Snoop opened up about his admiration for Eazy-E’s fiery track, which took direct shots at him, Dr. Dre, and Death Row Records. Reflecting on the diss, Snoop didn’t hold back his praise, admitting he got completely dusted on the record.
The “Gin and Juice” rapper even confessed that “Real Muthaphuckkin G’s” has become a staple on his “Cadillacc Radio” playlist, playing daily without fail. And when the track’s infamous bars hit… “Dre and your Doggy Dogg think that y’all hoggin’ sh*t / Both of you b*tches can come and suck my doggy 🍆!!!” Snoop says he unapologetically sings along.
Burn or not, Snoop’s acknowledgment of the diss as a hip-hop masterpiece highlights his love for the culture and ability to celebrate timeless art, even when it’s aimed directly at him.
This honest moment from Tha Doggfather shows that real recognizes real, even if it stings a little.
