Legendary tennis champion Serena Williams recently disclosed an unconventional remedy for sunburn that has left her followers amazed. In a TikTok video shared with her 1.6 million followers, the 42-year-old athlete revealed how just a few drops of her own breast milk proved to be a remarkably effective solution for her painful sunburn.
Having recently given birth to her second daughter in August, Williams found herself seeking relief after an outdoor excursion resulted in under-eye pain due to sun exposure. In a 46-second video, she recounted how she had heard that applying breast milk could accelerate the healing process for her children’s wounds. Intrigued by the idea, Williams decided to experiment with the remedy on herself.
In the video, she shared, “I thought, why not give it a try for like a week and see how it goes?” Clearly impressed with the results, Williams demonstrated how she applied the breast milk to her face, emphasizing its effectiveness in alleviating the discomfort she experienced.
Days later, the tennis icon happily reported being pain-free and expressed her astonishment at the success of this unconventional solution. In a caption accompanying the video, she wrote, “Ok, is this totally weird??? I have to say after a week of using MY breast milk under my eye – it worked!”
Williams also humorously mentioned that she has an ample supply of extra breast milk, implying that she is well-prepared for any future encounters with the sun. Playfully asserting, “Yeah … move over, Aloe Vera!!!”
