Sean Kingston faced arrest during a live concert in California, stemming from fraud and theft charges. This surprising event occurred mere hours after a SWAT raid led to the arrest of his mother at their Florida mansion.
Kingston was on stage at Fort Irwin, performing for U.S. Army personnel. Video footage captured the moment as law enforcement observed from the audience while he sang his 2010 hit “Eenie Meenie.”
Following the arrest, Kingston was booked into a San Bernardino jail and is awaiting extradition to Florida, where the charges were originally filed.
Earlier the same day, his mother, Janice Turner, was also taken into custody on multiple counts of fraud and theft.
In response to the raid and his mother’s arrest, Kingston addressed his followers on social media. “People love negative energy!” he wrote on Instagram. “I am good and so is my mother! My lawyers are handling everything as we speak.”
