The release of ScHoolboy Q’s much-anticipated album, Blue Lips, has been met with excitement from fans, but it hasn’t been without its hiccups.
Shortly after the album dropped on Friday (March 1), the Top Dawg Entertainment artist took to Twitter to voice his frustration with Spotify and his record label, Interscope Records, regarding a glitch affecting his project on the streaming platform.
In a tweet, ScHoolboy Q expressed his dismay, saying, “Wait.. I can’t even play my own sH*t 🤦🏾♂️ Umm @Spotify @Interscope I know I’m not the only 1.. only rappers get did like this smH.”
Alongside his message, he shared a screenshot illustrating his attempt to access Blue Lips on Spotify, which showed only two songs available: “THank God 4 Me” and the previously released single “Yeern 101.”
Although the tweet has since been deleted, it seems ScHoolboy Q wasn’t alone in encountering this issue.
When a fan brought it up to him, he responded with a plea for assistance, indicating that others were experiencing the same problem.
As of now, Spotify has not issued any statement regarding the matter. While Blue Lips is currently accessible for streaming in its entirety on the platform, it remains uncertain whether the glitch has been resolved or if it continues to affect certain users.
