However, the Church of Satan is not moved. The magister of the Church of Satan, David Harris, has informed TMZ that the performance was “okay” and lacked uniqueness.
David Harris, a high-ranking official in the Church of Satan (comparable to a cardinal), stated that the visual elements displayed during Sam Smith and Kim Petras’ performance, such as red attire, fire, and devil horns, have become cliché and have been previously seen in other artists’ work.
According to the Church of Satan, the music video for “Montero” by Lil Nas X was more impactful from a satanic perspective than Sam Smith and Kim Petras’ performance.
