The ongoing feud between Rick Ross and DJ Envy has escalated, with the co-host of The Breakfast Club facing a series of real estate lawsuits alleging fraudulent activities.
According to reputable sources like The Real Deal, DJ Envy, along with real estate investors Cesar and Jennifer Pina, is now confronted with lawsuits totaling $1.5 million from plaintiffs Anthony Barone and Anthony Martini. The accusations claim that the trio engaged in fraudulent practices, leading to the loss of funds meant for a never-executed apartment complex project. Barone and Martini are seeking compensation for both the actual losses incurred and additional punitive damages.
Moreover, the plaintiffs contend that DJ Envy purchased several properties in Paterson, NJ, at undervalued rates and subsequently either flipped them for a profit or rented them out.
Social media played a role in raising suspicions, as posts hinted at the possibility of DJ Envy and the Pinas operating a Ponzi scheme. Both investors have yet to receive any repayment, and it has been noted that the Pinas’ social media profiles showcased previous flipping endeavors.
Rick Ross was quick to catch wind of these pending lawsuits and did not miss the opportunity to take a personal jab at Envy. On Friday, he left a comment on Neighbourhood Talk’s Instagram post, suggesting that Envy should consider tattooing his hairline as well.
