Brooklyn rapper Maino was filmed choking YouTuber Buba100X in 4K resolution after being repeatedly asked about his chain during a TikTok-style interview at the Daniel’s Leather fashion show.
Despite the violent nature of the incident, Maino claims that it was all staged for the sake of generating views and clicks. Buba100X had joked about “beating Maino’s ass,” which quickly backfired when the rapper became enraged and grabbed him by the throat. Maino was then captured on video choking Buba100X and pinning him down while warning him of the consequences of provoking him.
Maino appeared as a co-host on Angela Yee’s new show “Way Up” this week, and the topic of his recent controversial video was discussed directly. Maino asserted that his actions in the video were entirely staged and that he had wanted to make the prank seem genuine by displaying intense emotions.
However, both Angela and Jasmine Brand remained unconvinced, and the truth of the matter remains unclear. We have attempted to contact Buba for his perspective on the incident and will provide updates as they become available.
