C-Murder, the former No Limit Records rapper, is making a major push for freedom with the support of attorney Ben Crump and the President of Baton Rouge’s NAACP. The NAACP Louisiana State Conference released a statement on May 4th announcing their backing of C-Murder and their support for his innocence.
In the statement, Eugene Collins, President of the NAACP Baton Rouge Branch, revealed that he will be working with FFO Investigations, led by Ms. Kasandra Washington, to advocate for Corey Miller’s release from prison. Collins will join C-Murder’s team to ensure justice is served and he receives a fair trial.
C-Murder’s fight for justice is also supported by attorneys Ben Crump and Ronald Haley, as well as his publicist Lisa Jackson and manager Steven Johnson. The NAACP urges the public and the justice system to closely examine the evidence and give C-Murder the fair trial he deserves. They believe that justice will prevail and that C-Murder will be exonerated.
C-Murder was convicted of murder in 2009 and has been serving a life sentence at the Louisiana Department of Corrections ever since. However, there have been doubts about the fairness of his trial and evidence that points to his potential innocence.
