In a turn of events that many might not find surprising, R. Kelly has come to the defense of Diddy following his high-profile arrest on charges of sex trafficking and racketeering.
Despite his own incarceration for similar crimes, Kelly alleges that Diddy’s arrest is part of a broader conspiracy targeting influential figures in the entertainment industry.
According to a report from Radar Online, Kelly allegedly spoke out from behind bars, although the publication couldn’t independently verify the conversation, and no audio of the interview exists.
“I don’t believe none of this sh*t,” Kelly reportedly said. “You could tell me anything about Puffy, about anybody. You could tell me the news, the weather, even that the sky is blue, I’m not gonna believe the sh*t.”
The embattled R&B singer allegedly went on to claim that Diddy’s wealth and lavish lifestyle made him a target, hinting at a larger agenda against successful celebrities.
Kelly purportedly continued, expressing frustration over public reactions: “People out there laughing, making jokes on the radio, but they could be next. They don’t even realize what’s happening.”
