Queen Elizabeth II, the longest-serving monarch, has died at the age of 96. She served for 70 years. The Queen’s family gathered at her Scottish estate due to concerns about her health.
Queen Elizabeth II was born in Mayfair, London April 21, 1926. Her real name, Elizabeth Alexandra Mary Windsor, took the throne in 1952. Her eldest son Charlies, the former Prince of Wales, will take her place as the new King and head of the state for 14 commonwealth realms.
