Federal authorities are reportedly moving closer to indicting Sean “Diddy” Combs, with plans to present his sexual assault accusers before a grand jury.
According to a recent report by CNN, investigators have notified possible witnesses that they may be called to testify in front of a federal grand jury in New York City.
This development signifies a major step forward in the federal sex trafficking investigation surrounding the Bad Boy Records founder. The U.S. Justice Department appears to be building a strong case to pursue criminal charges against Diddy.
Despite these advancements, sources told CNN that the witnesses have not yet been prepped for their testimonies. The investigation is still in an evidence-gathering phase, with federal agents meticulously questioning potential sources to ensure any potential indictment is robust and conclusive.
One insider noted that the investigators are being exceptionally thorough, taking their time to construct an airtight case should it proceed to an indictment.
Many accusers, who have already filed lawsuits against the music mogul, have been interviewed by federal officers and are actively cooperating with the investigation. Some have even provided evidence they believe will support the case.
In addition to these accusers, investigators are also interviewing other relevant individuals, including corroborating witnesses to the alleged crimes.
This group reportedly includes at least one male sex worker who claims to have been victimized by Diddy, with footage from Diddy’s home reportedly in federal possession.
This ongoing investigation could mark a significant turning point in the legal troubles facing Diddy, as the federal case builds momentum.
