Papoose has addressed recent remarks made by Fat Joe regarding the ongoing tensions between him and his wife, Remy Ma. The rapper’s response comes after Fat Joe shared his perspective on their public relationship issues during an appearance on Math Hoffa’s My Expert Opinion podcast.
Fat Joe, who shares a close bond with both Papoose and Remy Ma, expressed his disappointment over the situation but admitted there’s little he can do to mediate. “It’s a tough situation,” said Joe, who also serves as the godfather to the couple’s six-year-old daughter. “I don’t like seeing any of this. But it’s not something I can stop… they won’t listen to me.”
The Bronx legend elaborated on the boundaries of marriage, explaining why he feels unable to intervene. “When you have a husband and wife, it’s different,” he explained. “Nobody comes to my house to tell my wife anything. That’s her husband. I can’t get in the middle of that, it’s their business. I just wish none of this happened.”
Joe also recounted a recent dinner with Remy Ma that preceded the drama, sparking speculation online. According to the Lean Back rapper, Remy treated a group of about 10 men, including himself, to a lavish meal at a New York City hotspot the night before the couple’s issues exploded on social media.
“I woke up to chaos,” Joe said, recalling the flood of messages he received after the news broke. “People were asking, ‘What’s going on?’ And I was like, ‘What the hell?’”
When rumors surfaced that Papoose might have been part of that dinner, fans speculated that the couple’s problems might not be as serious as they seemed. However, Papoose was quick to set the record straight, addressing the confusion via Instagram Stories.
“Peace to my brother @fatjoe,” Papoose wrote. “I think y’all misunderstood his interview. I was not at @brooklynchophouse with them. I do spend thousands of dollars there regularly. I love that place!”
While Papoose’s statement clarified his absence at the dinner, it also reinforced his appreciation for the popular dining spot, suggesting that fans had jumped to conclusions.
