Nicki Minaj is ramping up anticipation for the deluxe edition of her highly anticipated album, Pink Friday 2, by revealing some exciting new collaborations.
The rap queen from Queens, New York, recently took to Instagram Live on Tuesday (August 20) to give fans a taste of what’s to come, including unreleased tracks featuring Drake and the late Juice WRLD.
During her live session, Nicki thrilled her fans with the announcement of Pink Friday 2: Gag City Reloaded. While she kept the release date under wraps, she assured everyone that it’s on the way.
“I will be doing a deluxe version of Pink Friday 2. It will be called Pink Friday 2: Gag City Reloaded,” she shared. “Do I have the exact dates for you? No. Is it coming out this week? No. But it’s coming.”
Nicki kept the energy high by previewing a variety of unreleased tracks and giving insights into their creation. Among the highlights was an unused verse she recorded for Camila Cabello’s “Hot Uptown,” featuring Drake. Fans also got to hear snippets of tracks like “Anxiety” and “Mamita,” both expected to be included in the deluxe edition.
One of the most talked-about moments came when Nicki played a previously leaked song featuring Juice WRLD. She asked her viewers for their thoughts on including the track in the deluxe edition, saying, “So, the question is do you guys think I should put the Juice WRLD song on the deluxe? It would be incredible for me, I think, to have Juice WRLD on this album.”
Nicki reflected on her time with the late rapper, revealing that they had discussed collaborating before his tragic passing. “Because before he passed, that’s what we were talking about. He recorded a bunch of stuff when he was in my studio, but I don’t like to exploit people and people’s deaths and stuff like that,” she added.
As the buzz continues to grow, fans are eagerly awaiting the official release of Pink Friday 2: Gag City Reloaded, with the promise of exciting new music and unforgettable collaborations.
