The Phoenix Suns guard took to X (formerly Twitter) to share the details of the incident, describing it as a “life-changing moment.”
According to Thomas, the incident occurred in his hometown of Tacoma, Washington, on Monday. He and his friends were approached by a young individual carrying an AK-47.
In a heartfelt post, Thomas revealed that his local hero status might have been the reason they were spared. “If it wasn’t for who I was and him recognizing me in my own city, he probably woulda ended all of our lives,” he stated.
