A desperate search is underway for 21-year-old Navy sailor Angelina Petra Resendiz, who mysteriously vanished near her barracks in Norfolk, Virginia, nearly a week ago.
Resendiz was last spotted around 10 a.m. on May 29 at Miller Hall on Naval Station Norfolk. A missing adult alert was issued by authorities on the night of June 3, as concern for her well-being continues to grow.
Described as a white/Hispanic female, Resendiz stands 5 feet tall, weighs approximately 110 pounds, and has brown eyes and long black hair. Investigators have not confirmed what she was last wearing, and she reportedly does not have access to a vehicle.
Officials say her disappearance is now considered a potential threat to her health and safety. The Naval Criminal Investigative Service (NCIS) is actively involved in the case and is urging the public to come forward with any leads.
Angelina Resendiz joined the Navy straight out of high school in 2023 and has been stationed in Virginia. Her sudden disappearance has rattled fellow sailors and sparked growing concern across the local community.
