Authorities in Fenton, Missouri are investigating a brazen pet store theft after two women were seen walking out of a store with a 13-week-old Bichapoo puppy allegedly concealed inside a large handbag… all while carrying a baby.
According to Fenton police, the women spent roughly 12 minutes inside a private socialization room with the small designer-breed puppy before exiting the store. Investigators say one woman distracted employees by engaging a staff member in conversation, while the second woman… described as having red or magenta-colored hair and wearing glasses… remained out of sight for part of the time.
Surveillance footage reportedly shows the pair leaving the store with the puppy peeking out from inside an oversized purse.
Police are now asking for the public’s help in identifying the individuals involved.
