Miley Cyrus recently shared a jaw-dropping health scare that took her from the Hollywood Walk of Fame to the ICU… all thanks to an unexpected infection that began disintegrating her knee.
Appearing on Jimmy Kimmel Live! Thursday night, the pop superstar opened up about the bizarre aftermath of filming her upcoming project, Something Beautiful. During the shoot, Miley rolled around on the Hollywood Boulevard for a music video… and while host Jimmy Kimmel joked she was lucky not to get stabbed by a stray needle, the reality was almost worse.
While Cyrus didn’t suffer any visible injuries at the time, she revealed that just weeks later, she found herself in intensive care due to a shocking infection in her knee.
Though she clarified it wasn’t life-threatening, she did need ICU-level care due to limited hospital space and the rapid progression of the infection.
According to Miley, her doctor was stunned by the severity and couldn’t believe how the contamination got so bad. When she finally admitted her gritty Hollywood Boulevard antics, his reaction was hilariously relatable.
While Miley didn’t confirm exactly which song prompted her to hit the concrete, fans are speculating it might be tied to her track “Walk of Fame.” Fitting, right?
Her highly anticipated album Something Beautiful drops on May 30, with the accompanying film premiering June 6.
