Meek Mill has once again sparked a social media frenzy with his latest remarks. The rapper from Philadelphia shared his thoughts on the disappearance of the OceanGate submarine, causing his comments to go viral. OceanGate specializes in providing undersea travel experiences, particularly to explore the wreckage of the Titanic.
Recent reports reveal that the company’s Titan submersible vanished off the coast of Newfoundland, Canada, on June 18. The Titan was carrying five individuals, including British-Pakistani Shahzada Dawood and his 19-year-old son, Suleman Dawood. Numerous global news outlets have extensively covered this incident for the past four days.
Meek Mill took exception to the media’s portrayal of the Titan and its missing passengers. In a tweet, the 36-year-old artist behind the Expensive Pain album expressed his response to the latest information surrounding the event.
“I find it unlikely that a wealthy man would engage in such an endeavor without comprehensive backup plans, especially when accompanied by his son. I’m not implying it’s fabricated, but the repetitive use of the same clips in the media is losing its impact on the general public’s perception. Considering the multitude of pressing issues in the world, it’s disheartening to see this headlined without substantial factual details. LOL,” Meek Mill shared.
The search and rescue operations for OceanGate’s Titan involve the United States Coast Guard, United States Navy, and Canadian Coast Guard. Concerns have arisen regarding the submersible’s air supply, which is expected to be depleted by June 22.
