Meek Mill recently opened up about his feelings towards Drake and Kendrick Lamar, putting to rest any rumors of bad blood after giving props to Drizzy’s biggest rap rival.
On Thursday (September 19), the Philadelphia rapper participated in a Q&A session on X (formerly known as Twitter), where fans asked him about his thoughts on some of hip-hop’s heavyweights.
One fan posed the question: “Who’s your Top 3 West Coast rappers, dead or alive? #AskMeek.” Meek’s answer? “Tupac, Snoop, Kendrick—no order.”
This sparked a follow-up from another fan who doubted Meek’s admiration for Kendrick, saying, “Meek, Kendrick isn’t your favorite, stop lying.”
Meek fired back: “In the west coast never said he’s my favorite most lyrical effective of my era from the west… f**k you want me to lie!? lol.”
Things got more interesting when another user suggested Kendrick’s name made the list only because of his rivalry with Drake, who’s been a longtime friend of Meek.
The rapper quickly shot down the idea of taking sides, responding: “Nah, I rock with Drake—he’s cool. Their beef has nothing to do with me. I support both. In fact, I’ve got all their diss tracks on my playlist right now!”
Meek Mill’s comments make it clear that while the rivalry between Kendrick Lamar and Drake has made waves in the rap world, he’s keeping things neutral and appreciates both artists for their unique contributions to hip-hop.
