Lil Durk has officially entered the acting world, making a cameo appearance in the latest episode of Power Book II: Ghost. Fans immediately drew comparisons between Durk’s acting debut and Yung Miami’s memorable appearance in BMF last year.
The moment quickly went viral after a fan shared a clip from episode 9 of the fourth and final season on X (formerly known as Twitter) on Friday, September 27.
The video showed Lil Durk playing a party guest alongside other series regulars, delivering a few lines of dialogue. The fan humorously captioned the post: “God bless Lil Durk but this n***a can’t act to save his life #PowerGhost.”
While some fans poked fun at Durk’s acting skills, the response was mostly positive. His longtime girlfriend, India Royale, even chimed in with a playful comment, comparing him to legendary actor Denzel Washington, saying: “It’s giving Denzel. Idk.”
Interestingly, some viewers defended Durk’s performance, claiming it was better than Yung Miami’s appearance in 50 Cent’s hit show BMF. Lil Baby also found himself caught in the conversation, with fans bringing up his acting chops, or lack thereof, in the same universe of shows.
Lil Durk’s foray into acting has sparked plenty of discussion online, with fans eager to see if this will be the first of many on-screen appearances for the Chicago rapper.
