During a press conference on Wednesday, APD officials announced the arrest of seven suspected gang members connected to the murders, which also left a third victim wounded. Homicide Commander Ralph Woolfolk directly called out Lil Baby, claiming the rapper should not have been filming his 2024 music video in the area, labeling it a “cowardly act” and vowing to hold him accountable.
The rapper’s legal team, led by Drew Findling and Marissa Goldberg, wasted no time shutting down the accusations. In a statement to TMZ, they called the police’s claims “complete and total nonsense.”
“To say that he couldn’t shoot a music video in his hometown… a place he loves and continues to uplift… is disgraceful,” they stated. They also emphasized that major music video locations are chosen by professionals, not individual artists.
His attorneys made it clear: Lil Baby had “absolutely no involvement” in the violence. They also slammed APD’s actions as “unprofessional, unethical, and shameful.”
