In an unexpected move, Lauryn Hill and The Fugees have canceled their highly anticipated U.S. tour just days before its kickoff.
The tour dates were abruptly removed from Ticketmaster and Live Nation on Tuesday (August 6), leaving fans surprised as they received cancellation and refund notifications.
So far, neither Lauryn Hill nor The Fugees have provided a reason for the sudden cancellation, remaining silent on the issue.
The tour, celebrating the 25th anniversary of Lauryn Hill’s iconic debut album, “The Miseducation of Lauryn Hill,” was slated to start on Friday (August 9) in Tampa, FL.
The 18-date tour included stops in major cities such as Atlanta, Philadelphia, Milwaukee, Houston, and Los Angeles, wrapping up in New Jersey, the Fugees’ home state, on September 21.
Despite the U.S. cancellations, tickets are still available for the European leg of the tour, which is set to begin on October 12 in Manchester, England.
