In a heartfelt revelation during the season three finale of “The Kardashians,” Kylie Jenner, the youngest of the Kardashian-Jenner sisters and founder of Kylie Cosmetics, shared her emotional experience regarding her baby son’s name. Influenced by her pregnancy hormones, she decided to change her son’s name legally from Wolf to Aire.
Kylie Jenner, 25, tearfully disclosed her decision to officially change her son’s name from Wolf Webster to Aire Webster, A-I-R-E. Choosing a name with deep significance, Aire is a Hebrew name that means “Lion of God.” Kylie confessed that her pregnancy hormones played a significant role in her initial choice, which she later found herself unsatisfied with.
Reflecting on her emotional journey, Kylie advised others to decide on a name before their hormones start raging during pregnancy. She revealed her deep emotional connection to her son, making it difficult to find a name she felt was worthy of him. Her best friend, Anastasia ‘Stassie’ Karanikolaou, was privy to Kylie’s emotional struggle during this time.
Kylie and her ex-boyfriend, rapper Travis Scott, joyfully welcomed Aire in February 2022. The couple also shares a delightful five-year-old daughter, Stormi.
Kylie’s postpartum experience took her by surprise, and she didn’t anticipate the overwhelming impact of her emotions. Throughout her pregnancy, she never called her son by the name Wolf, and shortly after his birth, she found herself crying in the shower, questioning her name choice. The name Aire had not been on her list until someone suggested it just 24 hours before the decision.
