Rapper Kodak Black found himself in the midst of controversy once again as he was released from Broward County Jail after a two-month stint for violating probation.
The 26-year-old, whose legal name is Bill Kapri, allegedly engaged in an altercation with a Florida news crew from WPLG Local 10, moments after stepping out of the jail premises.
Instead of a peaceful exit, Kodak Black’s release turned chaotic when he encountered the awaiting news crew. Reports suggest that he was captured on camera throwing rocks at photojournalist Bryan Murphy and purportedly threatening reporter Rosh Lowe. Amidst the chaos, Kodak Black can be heard shouting at the crew to call the police.
During the confrontation, Kodak Black appeared unapologetic, casually mentioning his time spent “hibernating” and “chilling” while outside the jail. He also made mention of personal matters, including the impending birth of his son within 48 hours, seemingly indifferent to the commotion he was causing.
When confronted by reporter Rosh Lowe about the threats, Kodak Black’s response was nonchalant, indicating his willingness to resort to violence. Despite being advised against such behavior, the rapper remained dismissive as he left the scene in a black SUV.
Thankfully, no serious injuries were reported from the altercation, although Bryan Murphy was struck in the ribs by one of the thrown rocks. The incident prompted the filing of a police report with the Fort Lauderdale Police Department.
While Kodak Black’s release from jail was meant to mark a fresh start, this incident has once again thrust him into the spotlight for the wrong reasons.
