Popular rapper Kodak Black finds himself entangled with the law once again as he was arrested in Broward County, Florida, on December 7. Currently held in the local jail, the artist faces charges of cocaine possession, tampering with or fabricating physical evidence, and improper stop, stand, or park, according to inmate records.
This arrest marks the latest chapter in a series of legal issues for the Pompano Beach native, who was previously apprehended in July 2022 for the possession of a controlled substance.
In an attempt to combat the charges, Kodak Black and his legal team sought to dismiss the case last month. Attorney Bradford Cohen asserted that the pills discovered on his client during the arrest were merely Tylenol, contradicting the officers’ claim that they were Oxycodone. This recent arrest sheds light on the ongoing legal battles faced by the seemingly troubled rapper.
The Florida Highway Patrol initiated the arrest when they pulled over Kodak Black, citing the excessively tinted windows of his SUV, which surpassed the legal limit. Allegedly detecting the smell of marijuana, troopers discovered a bag containing 31 white tablets and nearly $75,000 in cash. This incident mirrors the rapper’s prior encounter with law enforcement, emphasizing a recurring pattern of legal entanglements.
