Candy giant KitKat has confirmed a large-scale shipment theft involving approximately 413,793 chocolate bars… equivalent to nearly 12 tons… while the products were being transported across Europe.
According to the company, the stolen cargo was en route from a production facility in central Italy to its intended destination in Poland when the incident occurred. Officials say they are now working alongside law enforcement and logistics partners to determine how the theft happened and who is responsible.
Despite the shocking scale of the heist, KitKat reassured customers that there is no risk to public safety and that product availability will remain unchanged. The company emphasized that supply chain are still operating normally while the investigation continues
