Kim Kardashian recently attempted to reclaim a sentimental piece of her family’s history, but her efforts were shut down. The reality TV mogul reached out to the estate of O.J. Simpson, hoping to purchase a Bible that once belonged to her late father, Robert Kardashian. However, the estate’s executor has made it clear… her request came too late.
According to Malcom LaVergne, the executor of Simpson’s estate, Kim’s team contacted him last month after reports surfaced that several of O.J.’s personal belongings were being auctioned off.
Among the items up for grabs was a Holy Bible that Robert Kardashian had gifted Simpson, complete with a handwritten inscription from the late attorney himself.
Despite Kardashian’s interest, LaVergne told TMZ that the estate could no longer accept private offers, as the auction process was already underway. This means Kim will have to compete with other bidders if she still wants to acquire the treasured keepsake.
Robert Kardashian, who was famously part of O.J. Simpson’s defense team during the 1995 trial, had a close relationship with Simpson before later distancing himself. The Bible, with his personal note inside, holds deep sentimental value for Kim and her family.
While it remains unclear if Kim will participate in the auction, one thing is certain… she isn’t the only one eyeing pieces of O.J. Simpson’s controversial legacy.
