In a recent podcast appearance on the Roommates Show, hosted by New York Knicks players Jalen Brunson and Josh Hart, Fat Joe recounted a memorable moment at Rucker Park involving NBA superstar Kevin Durant.
Joe claimed that Durant had a dominant performance, scoring an impressive 82 points in the third quarter of a pickup game, which allegedly led to tensions and Durant being “chased out” of the court by frustrated opponents.
According to Fat Joe’s recollection, Durant’s performance was so exceptional that it drew attention and reactions from the crowd. He vividly described Durant’s ability to effortlessly sink three-pointers from long distances and evade defenders with ease.
However, Durant quickly refuted Joe’s version of events, dismissing it as a “podcast lie” on X. He asserted that there was nothing but respect and admiration during the game, and he never felt threatened or unsafe at any point.
Despite Durant’s rebuttal, Fat Joe stood by his account, emphasizing that he was present at the game and not fabricating any details.
He reiterated Durant’s remarkable scoring feat and maintained that his intention was simply to praise the basketball star.
The conflicting narratives between Fat Joe and Kevin Durant have sparked discussions among fans and followers, with many expressing curiosity about the true sequence of events at Rucker Park that day.
