A shocking discovery led to the arrest of a Kentucky woman after authorities found a missing juvenile concealed in the attic of her home.
Donna M. Spengler, 42, was taken into custody in the early hours of March 21 following an investigation by the Scottsville Police Department (SPD) and the Allen County Sheriff’s Department. Spengler now faces multiple serious charges, including kidnapping, first-degree hindering prosecution, custodial interference, endangering the welfare of a minor, and second-degree unlawful imprisonment.
Authorities responded to a call around 12:30 a.m. regarding a missing juvenile suspected to be at Spengler’s residence. When officers arrived, she allegedly told them she was the only person in the home. However, a thorough search revealed the juvenile hidden in the attic, according to police reports.
Following the discovery, law enforcement took the juvenile to the Warren County Juvenile Detention Center under a court order. Meanwhile, Spengler was transported to the Allen County Detention Center, where she remains held on a $50,000 bond.
Officials have not yet released further details about the circumstances surrounding the case. iHearts143Quotes reached out to the SPD for additional comments but has not received a response.
