Kanye West recently found himself in a passionate conversation with a fan who encouraged him to embrace his earlier persona. The heated exchange occurred after the fan, Tyg Savage, expressed a desire for Kanye to revert to the “old Ye.”
In a series of Instagram Stories shared on Tuesday (January 23), Tyg Savage posted screenshots of the intense dialogue that unfolded in Kanye West’s direct messages.
The catalyst for the conversation was Savage’s comment on a video posted by Kanye featuring his wife, Bianca Censori. In response to Savage’s comment urging Kanye to “go back to Jesus Ye,” Kanye defended his content, stating, “N***a, you can’t tell me what to do on my page. Unfollow if you don’t like it.”
Savage, expressing admiration for Kanye’s earlier work, implored him to remain true to himself, saying, “I love your music and the old you. It has inspired me, my friends, and many others. Please don’t change because people want you to. Be the old Ye I used to love. Thanks.”
Kanye responded by dismissing Savage’s request, suggesting it sounded “insane.” He advised Savage to “go listen to the old Ye” if that’s the music he desires.
Kanye emphasized his maturity, stating, “I’m a 46-year-old grown ass man. Go make some kids if you wanna have somebody you can tell what to do.”
